What goes up....must come down.....

What goes up must come down was and is an appropriate title for our walk on Monday afternoon.  I'm posting a day late, but that walk wore me out!!!

This walk started us on 17th Street and Yucaipa Blvd. (we parked right by the State Farm Office on the corner) and then proceeded down the blvd. (I like how you don't even have to say "Yucaipa Blvd." but anyone from Yucaipa knows what you mean).  Anyway, I would NOT recommend walking along the blvd. right here to anyone - it was quite dangerous and scary - no sidewalks, no bike lane and no dirt path.  We jogged the are just to get through it faster, but in reality, we should have crossed over to be safer!!!!

Anyway, we continued down the blvd. hitting every little cul-de-sac along the way (and there were a few).  Those streets were straight uphill and worked muscles we didn't know we had...haha!!!  Once you get down to Overcrest (behind Arco), there is a lovely little community back there.  The hike up to the streets in a doozy, but well worth it.  I would rate this walk as one for more advanced walkers and someone that wants to work a lot of various muscle areas.

We are back at our quest to WALK EVERY STREET IN YUCAIPA tomorrow (Wednesday) when we get to finish the area above the Arco Station and all the hills off of Overcrest.  We will be meeting at 4:15pm at the Park & Ride by Arco, if you'd like to join us.

Our route started with a climb up 16th Street to Sand Canyon and
back down again, just to cover that part of 16th Street

Finally got a dirt path to walk on along the blvd.

All the way up and all the way back down!
One of several cul-de-sacs along the blvd.

We were greeted by these cute guys.  Tails wagging but lots of barking :-)

Love this house with all the signs.  Have you seen it???

Jenna, Jill & I at the highest spot on 17th Street.  That is the view of the blvd. way down there!!!

See how much we've done already!!!  We're getting there - ONE STREET AT A TIME!!!
